Welcome back to the Laundrigo blog We have a new developer to try and speed up the completion of the website! We are as committed as ever to bring you the best laundry experience possible.

Part of the experience we want to offer now includes convenient online payment through PayPal. This will allow you to pay directly on our site without having to leave it. While we're on the subject, we'd like to take this time to let you know that all credit card information will be secured with SSL encryption - this is the same encryption that online banking websites use.

We also have an update on delivery procedures based on a few suggestions from our friends. Unlike some of our competitors, we don't require you to be home for every laundry delivery. We only ask you to be home for the first pickup and drop off to establish a designated spot. For any future deliveries, you can leave your dirty laundry in that spot and find it returned fresh and clean a few days later.

We will continue to look for ways to improve our service and we hope to get your feedback once we're ready for you to try it out! We're hoping it will be soon and will keep you updated.

In the meantime, we will begin unveiling some more details regarding the Laundrigo service leading up to our pilot. We will be looking for suggestions and comments on the service from you! Are there any features you would like to see incorporated into the service? If so, please leave us a comment below.

Thanks for taking the time to check us out.

After a few months hiatus, the Laundrigo blog is back and better then ever! ...or we'd like to think so at least. We moved our blog to Weebly as our old blog got lost in translation when changing servers.

To those of you who haven't heard of Laundrigo, allow us to re-introduce ourselves (Jay-Z style). We are a Boston based company with one mission - to solve the laundry problem

yes this is my laundry pile and yes this is a problem - a 2 hamper problem

We believe that people in general spend too much time doing laundry at a great opportunity cost. Have you ever been stuck at home on a beautiful Saturday afternoon because you were matching socks and folding t-shirts instead enjoying the weather? We want to make that scenario (and others like it) a thing of the past.
We are doing this by providing an easy-to-use website that lets users schedule laundry deliveries. Your dirty clothes get picked up one day, and dropped off to you clean and neatly folded a few days later. Dry cleaning is also available for pickup and dropoff.

So what have we been up to in the last few months?? Excellent question...

We've made progress on our website improving some features and testing the hell out of everything. We had a bug list that ran 400 deep so hopefully we've got it all!

We've had somewhat of a roller coaster ride on the laundromat provider side of things. We lost our original laundromat for the Alpha test - a big blow that set us back. We quickly rebounded and found another laundromat but it took some time to foster a good working relationship before any real progress was made. We tailored our process to the new provider's liking and ran a successful test run between myself and my fellow co-founders.

The website worked fairly well as the laundromat picked up our laundry in the time we had scheduled. It was returned to us neatly folded smelling fresh and organized in a way that would even make my mother proud. All in all, the whole experience was great as it took very little effort to get our laundry done. The goal had been met and we were pretty excited.

After many months of hard work (especially from our development team) it was extremely rewarding to finally make some concrete progress and see our product in action. We made a few tweaks and ran a second test run before wanting to open up the site to more people. Then, the bomb was dropped...the laundromat decided they were not ready to take on volume and were no longer committed as our provider.

Just like that, we were back at square one. As disappointed as we were we knew that going through this adversity had a silver lining. We learned a lot about our website, the sales process, managing providers and got to experience first-hand the value of our product.

Our challenge remained to find an initial provider, further test our process and eventually show consumers the benefits of using laundrigo.com.

As luck would have it, Liran (co-founder) was getting his laundry done at the original provider and was able to rekindle the relationship with the owner. After a few meetings, we had a provider again!

This is where we are today. We will be running some small scale tests over the next few weeks and are hoping that we will have an Alpha test under our belt in the not so distant future.

For anyone in the Boston area who enjoys being ahead of the curve and wants a sneak peak at the future of laundry please let us know! No but really, if you are interested in taking part of our Alpha test, please email me at tsbaron@gmail.com or leave us a comment and we will add you to the very exclusive list.

Thanks for taking the time to read our blog. It feels good to be back!
